ENCANTO - short review

The latest addition to the ever growing library of Disney animated movies offers a familiar blend of characters and themes, while tapping into Colombian traditions and culture. Does it offer anything more?

For me, the answer is a definitve yes. What I love about Encanto, especially, is its relatively small scale. The biggest chunk of the story, by far, takes place within a single house. Such small place gives the creators the opportunity to develop interesting story arcs and relationships.

I would be remiss not mention the stellar animation. Once again, the House of Mouse is pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Just look at the characters' faces. They are alive!

Encanto is a win. Each part of the movie is visibly well thought-out and crafted. Disney once again proves that, when in form, nobody does the job better.
