RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET - short review

Ralph Breaks The Internet is a follow-up to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph. The first movie established enough of a ground to garner itself a succesor. But does the somewhat unexpected sequel reach the heights of its predecessor?

Well, it does. The trick is in title itself - the internet. It provides a whole new world to explore and gives the creators an endless source of gags and plot twists. However, the internet is also the movie's biggest weakness. In ten years time, I'm sure most of the plot points will feel out-dated, at best.

Althought clocking at almost 2 hours, the movie doesn't feel overly long. In reality, it's a nice change to see an animated movie with a space for a proper world building and character development. The relationship between Ralph and Vanellope gives the movie a much needed emotinal push that propels the movie to a finale that feels both epic and well-earned.

I feel like Ralph Breaks The Internet is one of the stronger outputs in Disney's rich library. Due to its very nature, it will never be (most likely) considered a classic. Still, it's a fun ride with a ton of surprises along the way. Enjoy!
