Sony Animation positioned itself to be one of the more relevant animation studios in the world. Their newest flick, Vivo, exemplifies its recent successes and the studio's many strenghts and, to be frank, weaknesses.
On one hand, we get beautifully crafted characters and environments, on the other, a predictable story and over-simplified plot. There is always something interesting to look at but not too mant things get the viewer particularly invested.
All in all, it's an enjoyable small movie but not a one you that you will necessarilly come back to.
